I’m Sofia Koistinen, an illustrator with a background in Aquatic Science. I’ve been working as a freelance illustrator since 2018.

I often draw inspiration from my scientific knowledge. I seek themes in nature and Baltic Sea, which I combine with my playful approach to illustration. I have chosen Kimitoön, Kemiönsaari as my place of residence, where the diverse archipelago nature surrounds its inhabitants.

On the island, I run a small, cute shop & studio called Fröken & Rouva, where we sell art and carefully curated secondhand items.
